THIS IS WHY I STARTED. .
I am a product of a grassroots coach. Someone who showed up for me with no resources, no recognition, just pure belief that I could become something great.
And I did. By God’s grace, I play for @PSG_Feminines and I captain the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
But as my career grew, I started to notice something that broke my heart.
The coaches doing this work every single day across Nigeria on grassroots pitches, in communities, with barely any resources, no one is investing in them.
No certificate. No formal training. No support. Just passion. Just love for the game.
So I made a decision.
I started the Rasheedat Ajibade Foundation NIS Coaching Education Scholarship because I believe that if you invest in the coach, you invest in every single player they will ever coach for the rest of their career and for the rest of their lives.
Behind every great Nigerian athlete is a coach who believed in them first.
Let us invest in those coaches.
If you believe what I believe that Nigerian sport changes from the ground up, not the top down, share this. Invest in this. Be a part of this.

While in China, I often used a dedicated space in my hotel to pack the large volume of goods I purchased.
Because of how much I packed, the hotel staff always made sure I had enough room to organize everything properly.
During these packing sessions, some Nigerian men staying around the hotel would stop by, greet me and express surprise at how hard I worked.
One particular man became a regular visitor.
He often watched me pack and even helped occasionally.
One day, he said he prayed to marry a hardworking, ambitious woman like me.
I smiled and told him that finding such a woman is usually not the problem; the real challenge is whether a husband can continue supporting her ambitions after marriage.
I explained that many women don't lose their drive because they become lazy.
Instead, they stop thriving because their environment no longer allows them to.
I've seen successful women with flourishing businesses gradually give up their dreams after marriage due to restrictions, expectations, or lack of support from their spouses.
I told him about my own experience, despite having two children in Nigeria, I spent an entire month in China for business.
During that time, my husband managed the home, helped care for the children, handled responsibilities, and never made me feel guilty for pursuing my goals.
Even when I was too busy to call regularly, everything at home continued smoothly.
I then asked him whether he could genuinely support his future wife if her business required her to travel for a month.
While he said yes, I reminded him that many people admire successful women but are unwilling to make the sacrifices necessary for them to remain successful.
If you want a woman to keep growing and thriving, you must be willing to create an environment where her dreams can flourish instead of dimming her light.
Wow this is beautiful
