@NeasaNews Funny how companies complain about labour costs, but many workers are still struggling to survive on those same wages. If employees were truly paid fairly, people wouldn’t be working overtime just to make ends meet. Workers are not the problem underpaying them is.
While many people take transport for granted, these learners wake up before sunrise and endure long, exhausting journeys braving harsh weather, fatigue, and dangerous conditions just for the chance to get an education. In the Eastern Cape, many communities are still being left behind. It is heartbreaking to imagine children walking kilometres every day, crossing rivers and unsafe paths, simply to reach a school. Education should never come at the cost of a child’s safety and dignity.
