The decision follows reports from yesterday regarding potential blue-green algae on the water's surface. Such algal blooms can occur when specific environmental conditions
not be ready in time for this evening, the session cannot proceed.

We have been closely monitoring the air quality situation in the region. At this time, Marsh Creek State Park remains open and neither the Chester County Health Department or Department of Emergency Services have issued any prohibition on outdoor activities.
Therefore, tonight's open water training swim will be held as planned. Of course, should we be directed otherwise by the Park, Health Department or Department of Emergency Services, we will let you know as soon as possible.

The forecast for tomorrow is calling for inclement weather all day with the heaviest rain, thunderstorms and possible flash flooding occurring during the afternoon and evening hours when we are scheduled to be at Marsh Creek.
(2/3) Given the timing, duration and potential severity of this storm, we have made the decision to cancel tomorrow’s session. A make-up session will be held on Sep 15, meaning our final two training swims of the season will held on Sep 8 and Sep 15.
