BSW Day 3: Students recreated Darwin's historic expedition with a game of 'Clippy island' to learn how species have evolved through natural selection to adapt to their environment #BSW#Time@KEV_Science@McrAcademy
BSW Day 2: In our mini-science show students watched the elephants toothpaste reaction, seeing a catalyst make a reaction go from taking days to taking seconds! #BSW#Time@KEV_Science@McrAcademy
BSW Day 1: Students explored the paleontology career by going on a journey through time to discover how life evolved from species in the past, while also putting species back in their right time periodπ¦π¦π #BSW#Time@KEV_Science@McrAcademy

For this weeks #astronomy elective students were learning all about moving in space and how rockets work, getting to see one in action themselves when we launched our own rockets down the corridor
@McrAcademy@KEV_Science
Our #Astronomy elective started this week, this time students got to learn just how space can get! Shrinking the solar system down to the size of the school field students were amazed by just how big the distance between the planets is!

This week we had the last session of our #dissection science elective; the first of a series of electives we'll be running this year. Students had the opportunity to carry out dissections of hearts, eyes, fish heads and more!
Coming up next #astronomy!
