A few months ago, I received a mail of having been selected for the 2023 @mandelawashfellowship in the United States of America fully funded by the @statedept
The journey began just last week with my Institute at @drexeluniv in Philadelphia.
PPDC recently hosted the Founder and Executive Director of the @inmatesedu Inmates Educational Foundation (IEF), Mr. @MAlabidun Alabidun Mahfuz, for a courtesy visit focused on strengthening collaboration around access to justice and rehabilitation.
Discussions highlighted shared priorities in supporting inmates and at-risk populations through legal aid, education, vocational skills, and reintegration initiatives. Both organizations identified key opportunities to work together, including linking rehabilitation efforts with reintegration support, expanding digital literacy programs within correctional facilities, and promoting civic education for individuals preparing to re-enter society.
This engagement marks an important step toward building partnerships that addresses justice gaps and advances efforts to reduce recidivism and promote inclusive justice.
