The 2026 Coca-Cola 600 will be the first NASCAR Cup Series race without an “Earnhardt” or “Busch” in the field since 1979.
It is the first Coca-Cola 600 without either since 1977. Richard Petty won that race.
The 47 and 49-year streaks will be broken tonight.
I had a caller to Extra Innings, Jake from Dayon, say something that I haven't stopped thinking about. The 29-year old expressed his frustration with the #Reds, and concern that they are losing a generation of fans.
Born in 1997, he pointed out that in his lifetime he's seen just nine winning seasons, five playoff teams, four home playoff games, and no home playoff wins.
"It's an absolute disgrace I've not one single time seen the Reds advance in the postseason."
"I grew up going to games with my dad, doing the scorebook, hearing stories of the Big Red Machine. I am dying for just one of those moments, here...once......just once"
He noted how his age group is 'starving' for a winner. He fears they are losing a generation of fans, and the organization doesn't seem to care.
Thoughts?
I told him I'd make his call a show topic.
We will discuss tonight in the 7pm hour.
I’ve thrown a cone at a cars windshield. IF they were driving like an idiot, you do what you have to do to get their attention and prevent someone from not going home.
The #Reds broadcasters are doing their part, and I've never been more thankful.
Barry Larkin questioning why some of these guys are getting playing time and now Jeff Brantley making a comment on the air, too.
"Contrary to popular belief in Cincinnati, a .209 batting avg isn't good."
Wake up.
The Reds have a promotion where fans win free pizza if the team gets 11 strikeouts in a game.
They clinched it in the ninth inning on an ABS challenge and it was electric
These calls are so good, guys!!!
“He wasn’t in the original lineup…”
“OHHHH OHHHHHHH”

Umpire Hunter Wendelstedt missed 22 calls in the Reds Twins game and 16 went against the Reds, including 4 blown strikeouts.
No umpire this season has missed on more than 4 strikeouts in an entire game.
The Reds overcame the bad calls and won a challenge in extra innings to end the game.
I loved Bob.
He was a great friend and mentor to me.. I will miss him.
I was insanely lucky that he assisted me in all aspects of life… he always believed in me. He always helped me.. and he always made the room he was in better.
YOU DONE GOOD brother… thank you for it all.
This is a freaking disgrace and needs to be called out!
After reading Rule 5.09(a)(1), I do not believe TJ Friedl caught this ball. If a player drops the ball upon falling, it is not a catch.
What's worse, he would have known he dropped it, yet chose not to make that clear...
