The boys competed in day 1 of the National Championships today. 3 of the 5 boats that raced today advanced to tomorrow's grand finals:
Lightweight Double (#1 seed)
Lightweight Eight (#3 seed)
Lightweight Four (#6 seed)
The Freshmen Quad and Heavyweight Double were eliminated during the heats. They finished the season with national rankings of #8 and #12, respectively.
The 3 boats racing tomorrow are all guaranteed a final ranking of at least #6. To put that into perspective, until now, MBA has had only 3 boats finish the season ranked #6 or higher (Lightweight Four in '18, #5; Freshman 8 in '19, #6; Lightweight 8 in '21, #3).
