This afternoon in Winnipeg, the Manitoba Fallen Fire Fighters’ Foundation added 6 more names in a ceremony to recognize those lost. There are now a total of 129 names on the monument, far too many.
Remember those that have gone before us, never forget their sacrifices.
This evening, 3 members of the MAFC were presented with the King Charles III Coronation Medal for their work with the CAFC.

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services District Chief Jack Robertson and Senior Training Officer Jared Blair shared information on the Fire Dynamics program that WFPS is training with, and the importance of occupational hygiene (decon) following a response. #MAFC23
Brent Bekarais; Community Outreach Officer with STARS delivered an update to all delegates on the operations of STARS in the Province and the partnership they have with the Manitoba Fire Service.
Robert Stewart; Director of Emergency Communications, provides an update on the operations of emergency communications where they serve 195+ fire departments in dispatch services and the fire dispatch procedures and the importance of updating the information contained within.
Kelly McLean of the MB Office of the Fire Commissioner has provided an update to the delegates in attendance this afternoon on the SAFE Family program in the Province, and a briefing on the public education materials available to the fire departments. #MAFC23
The speakers session is now underway at the MAFC Conference with Fire Commissioner Schenk providing an update on the operations of the OFC. As well, the MB Emergency Services College Director Lavoie is delivering information on programming & training opportunities. #MAFC23
