To help celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we took a dive into the history of Monterey Bay’s first fisherfolk, namely the Rumsen and Amah Mutsun.

Despite unspeakable crimes against them, the Ohlone people remain, keeping their culture, community and ancestral memories alive.
