Year 3 have finished grouting their beautiful mosaics today and they are looking absolutely brilliant! Some have shown Mt Vesuvius, whilst others have shown animals or Roman weaponry. @Habsmonmouth@MonBoysPrep#Pompeii#Mosaic#Year3#TheRomans

Ave, Vincentius!
This Roman legionary, of the 3rd Legion, spent hours of his free time creating a shield and gladius. The props were put to good use at the battle of Watling Street. Awesome job! @Habsmonmouth@MonBoysPrep#Romans#SPQR#Legionary
The fearsome Celtic army, led by the indomitable Boudicca, face up against the outnumbered but disciplined Roman legions at Watling Street... who will walk away victorious??
Year 4 really enjoyed playing a game to understand the invasions of the Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Picts, Scots and Frisians in the first century AD! Sometimes feeling very unfairly outnumbered! ๐งฎ๐ฌ๐งโฃ๏ธ @Habsmonmouth@MonBoysPrep#Humanities#AngloSaxons
The Year 6 Historians @MonBoysPrep got into character as engineers in the British Army for a remarkable World War One trench-building competition.
The boys used a host of methods to build their trench models from Minecraft, cake baking and papier-mรขchรฉ to the garden and diggers.
Year 4 reflected on what they learnt about Mount Vesuvius to draw the landscape and show the after effects of the famous eruption of 79AD. Brilliant attention to the geographic features! โฐ๏ธ๐โ๏ธ @Habsmonmouth@MonBoysPrep#MtVesuvius#Humanities#Geography#Year4
