married FUN mom. interests: voice, dance, graphic design, media organization, proofreading everything especially numbers. Ok I’m not fun, I’m a big nerd.
I was into politics twitter for so long. Took a long break.
Now I still want to know what’s going on, but I want more puppy, music, art, and nature content.
Social media breaks are good.
@RizomaSchool@Empty_America The best thing they can do is keep their hobby BUT set a reasonable time limit.
30-60 minutes daily anyone can do whatever embarrassing hobby they want. But join the mainstream for the rest of your day.
@TrevonDLogan@SalKrinkle@brianrdhamm Randomization past 2011 is irrelevant, too, because they are currently 13 years old.
I’m agreeing with your whole thread; to be clear.
Etsy cracks me up. They sent an email advertising Christmas Eve boxes. “Fill it with goodies.”
What do you think I am doing THE NeXT MORniNG. Stockings+being literal Santa+gifts from me+gifts from and for each other+teacher’s gifts+special treats all season.
Another thing?!?!
@Ronxyz00 …you need a team lead who is directly working with the highest officials. You need 3 that work opposite hours so the desk is almost always manned. And each of the 3 has connection to different agencies so you are getting viewpoints/feedback/requests to + from major institutions.
@Ronxyz00 I hope he’s joking. A 4-member *essential* team could be cut down to 1. (Or depending on their numbers, cut down completely).
He should be looking at their functions.
To have 1 person manning that function is insane. The reason for 4 …
@Ademola101_@visakanv Agree. And his comic timing has a tempo.
He didn’t sit down and plan for each joke to hit at 20s, or if he did it’s because that’s his natural manner.
@memeticsisyphus Then they dropped the restriction. I think during my third kid’s 0-2 age range.
Listen, he had already watched because older siblings were addicted to Disney channel, PBS, and movies.
But him being under 2, I didn’t hand him my phone. It was better for him to wait.
@memeticsisyphus The worst thing to happen was saying kids under 2 can have screens.
It *used* be a thing. Zero screens under 2. I tried, and started at 18 months with 1 Daniel Tiger per day. For some, I was sooo late to the game. For others, I was doing damage by allowing it.
@AlanLevinovitz I agree with you. There are plenty of people are living into their late 70s, their 80s, their 90s. They’ve certainly been living on our 1990s+ diet for 30 years.
My own mom was affected by food, but it was her choice. You’d have to ban soda and sweets to alter her health path.
My husband was an employee on an NIH study for summer work in between vet school semesters. $3-4K pay was helpful to us.
I don’t know what the study learned about fish, but it’s a drop in the bucket and goes to people who are working contributors to science / public health.
@AlanMCole I thought Rand Paul’s recent post about government waste in spending was funny. Because someone in his office was told to make a social media post with a photoshop of hamsters boxing, and they’re paid to do that.
