We are so lucky to have the wonderful Mrs Youhill volunteering in our class. She has taught the children so many new skills and is a treasured member of our crew. X
The Busy Bee team would like to say a very big thank you for all the kind cards, messages and wonderful gifts. We are overwhelmed by your kindness. Have a wonderful summer break. @DMartinStAnnes@StAnnes_EHS
Piet Mondrian was a pioneer of abstract art, who developed from early landscape pictures to geometric abstract works. The Busy Bees unpicked some of his paintings today and experimented with creating their own abstract pieces. Can you guess their inspiration? @StAnnes_EHS
The children experimented with Mondrianโs style called โneoplasticismโ. This involves using simple lines, right angles and blocks of primary colours. @StAnnes_EHS
Here are just a few examples of the pictures the children produced when drawing to music today. Their fantastic interpretations of the music blew us away!@StAnnes_EHS @DJWhiteStAnne1
We have continued to learn about the work of Piet Mondrian. We looked at the style he developed known as โneoplasticismโ. This minimalistic style uses simple lines, right angles and blocks of primary colours. @StAnnes_EHS
What a fantastic start to art week by the Busy Bees! We have been looking at the work of Piet Mondrian and been completely inspired to become artists. The children have begun by learning how to create different shades of primary colours. #weareartists@StAnnes_EHS
Iโve heard he had a wonderful time because the children were so amazing! I just saw his rocket take off nearby and he said he would wave at everyone as he flew over the school ๐
