Piet Mondrian was a pioneer of abstract art, who developed from early landscape pictures to geometric abstract works. The Busy Bees unpicked some of his paintings today and experimented with creating their own abstract pieces. Can you guess their inspiration? @StAnnes_EHS

The children experimented with Mondrian’s style called ‘neoplasticism’. This involves using simple lines, right angles and blocks of primary colours. @StAnnes_EHS

We have continued to learn about the work of Piet Mondrian. We looked at the style he developed known as ‘neoplasticism’. This minimalistic style uses simple lines, right angles and blocks of primary colours. @StAnnes_EHS
