• a volleyball coach trained in CPR multiple times who began compressions
• an athletic director who ran for the AED
• a track coach, also an off-duty police officer, who applied the AED #SaferSidelines

Everyone who employs or works with ATs should take a listen to this! ATs don’t get an offseason…and they work over breaks and the summer…make sure you are respectful of their time and value what they bring to your programs!
Thank you, Athletic Trainers! As we wrap up #NATM2026, we celebrate the dedication, expertise, and commitment you bring to protecting the health and well-being of athletes every day.
National Athletic Training Month (NATM) is held every March to raise awareness of athletic trainers, health care professionals who prevent, diagnose and treat injuries and medical conditions. The 2026 tagline, chosen by members on social media, is "Care You Can Count On."
Adaptability: I think one reason that ATs face burnout is the constant need to adapt. Adapt to changing schedules. Adapt to different coaches’ communication desires, adapting to different protocols, adapting to do the best we can in inadequate facilities with inadequate resources
The Iowa Lakes Community College baseball team was involved in a deathly crash while they were on their way to North Arkansas College for a 4 game series.
Players from Waukee Northwest, Saydel, Ballard, and Algona are on the current roster.
