Thank you to everyone who leaves or thinks of leaving a comment on my posts. Wether it be a simple mention of you enjoying my art, or a constructive compliment/criticism, I really enjoy responding to them, and It's something I appreciate immensely ( ´ ▽ ` )
The woman suffered some burns, by her own hands.
I am now giving her the first coat of paint! Once all of that is done, that's when the big challenge of drawing the burns on her clothes starts.
Also thinking I might break one of her horns, we'll see :b
@hunter_riker Yeee, I'm hoping I can make it all raggedy and torn with some transparency and then draw like the blue "embers" along the edges. That way I don't have to add a ton of topology tearing the fabric with actual real holes :b
Modeling and rigging work is pretty much done I think, might optimize here and there, but it's good to start unwrapping and texturing.
After talking to some friends, I ended up going for ram horns, sconce-like staff, with a demon heart inside a cage, and a sword as a sidearm.
@hunter_riker We've been thinking like, black, grayish tones, and finally blue for her fire and burns on her clothes that never extinguish!
But she might have some brown leather here and there like her boots and gloves, we'll see.
But the must-have, permanent feature will be blue fire :3
Nothing too exciting going on atm. I'm working on practicing more uh... using curves for making hair, I think it's going well so far.
I'm kinda not a fan of how much topology this adds, but I'm sure I can find a way to optimize the hell out of it once it's all set-up lol.
@DaBigCheez_brgr My ass made ONE base face model and I've been using it like a mound of clay to make all the others. In a way it keeps stuff "in model" but it also sometimes makes it hard to make different OCs look unique.
And then there's drawing different faces...
@hunter_riker Omg thank you! Yeah I wanted to add a bit of decor to it, it's nothing fancy but for a bit of a de-rust project I'm happy with how it came out :b
Getting back into the groove of things, college is starting to calm down, so I went ahead and made a little outfit variant to de-rust. Also I've reworked her hair with a ponytail, and I'm gaining more control over her face, next thing... maybe a new OC ( ´ ω ` )
Okay I've got some free time, so while I work on setting up a lipsync thing on Unity (My oh so hated), I'm also keyframing in Blender to like, take a break from stressing out over using Unity lol.
And also so I like, practice SOME animation cuz goddamn do I need it.
I'm stuck doing some college BUUUUULLSHIT, and I'm going insane, I want to go back to making 3D and learn some more rigging, but instead I'm stuck here coming up with ideas and not being able to execute them GRAAAHHHH ;w;
@Morgan_Clavier Oh that's because It's not for a game, if I had to make a game, I'm 100% going Godot, I haaaate Unity. But I want to learn to make stuff like VRChat avatars and Vtubing, and for that, Unity tends to be your best bet, sadly ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌
Fingerless glove, cel shading, inverted hull, uh... and I'm trying out some hand-drawn "outlines" to accompany the inverted hull.
Hair kinda gives me a bunch of trouble with inverted hull, so I thought it'd look fine if it straight up had none lol. I think I'm getting somewhere.
