I love how people inside the Red Sox organization were dogging Marcelo for not playing through little injuries and it turns out he was playing through a forearm injury for the last two months lmfao.
The Red Sox are a fucking joke man.
Further on the Marcelo convo: you know what a young guy struggling with confidence could use? A salty veteran who has been there and done that, like Alex Bregman. Or maybe an experienced Manager with a strong track record like Alex Cora. So sick of the robots running this team.
Im full ranting about this. Imagine you are Marcelo just absolutely going through it, failing at the big league level, still trying to adjust to big league life, trying to be the player he was projected to be, down on yourself and your personal expectations and you wake up to your own organization saying you are mentally weak. I am sure that is going to help get him on the right track.
And this isn't me saying that its not concerning or that Mayer is perfectly fine right now, jus that there is 0% chance this helps anything. If anything its just making it worse.
So the Red Sox:
-Made him play through an injury
-Changed his position
-Played him every day
-Dogged him for not being “mentally tough”
This organization is a joke
I’m coming around on Caleb Durbin.
Might not turn into the best baseball player, but to dislocate your finger, not take a night off, and come out and hit the go ahead homer against the Yankees???
Takes a giant nutsack
This organization fucking blows It’s bad enough that there’s zero leadership in the fucking clubhouse now they’re leaking shit to the media about a fucking 23-year-old who is already going through it in terms of his play. I’m sure this is will help so much.
The funniest part of this season?
The Red Sox fired the manager.
The players are still here.
The front office is still here.
The ownership is still here.
Maybe the guy filling out the lineup card wasn't the biggest problem after all.

It’s all theater, posturing and negotiation leverage from the MLB right now.
Swallow their lies if it tastes good to you.
Billionaires could spend more money to compete. They don’t and their fans pay for it.
Many HATE to be reminded of this but it’s true.
I support your right to disagree with me :) although I don’t buy your ‘markets’ argument.
I can't wait to get called a bootlicker for not caring about millionaires and billionaires arguing over who should make more millionaires
Meanwhile fans are the ones getting screwed over with higher prices and growing inaccessibility for families to go to games
Are there any dummies out there who actually believe the owners are negotiating with the intention of improving literally anything about how the league is run versus just trying to cut costs and pocket more money? I feel like we’re all on the same page on this one, yes?
I just want you to know that if you are a Red Sox fan who uses their run differential as a way to say that this isn't the worst season of our lifetimes then I hate you and you are the worst kind of baseball fan. https://t.co/14yTaFYSCh
Truly demoralizing series in a season that has seen a lot of them. Sox lose two out of three, led after 7 in both losses. Had been 30-0 in those games before this series.
The Red Sox current win % (.410) would be their worst mark in a non-shortened season in over 60 years -- when they went 62-100 back in 1965 (.383). So, yes -- potentially the worst full season Red Sox team of your life and for many people alive, ever.
