Honestly I’m not convinced the devil is super concerned with overhauling the US Government. Bureaucracy isn’t his deal.
He seems more interested in discrediting the Church…. Which he seems to be doing well with some, sadly.
“I’m weary. There’s only so many times you can walk in the room and tell someone they’re not coming home tomorrow…I would simply ask you to do something. Because doing nothing, which is what we have been doing, is not working.”
– Louisville, Kentucky Dr. Jason Smith
"When babies die at a church school, it is time for us to move beyond thoughts and prayers. Remind our lawmakers of the words of the British statesman Edmund Burke: 'All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing.'"

There’s a heck of a lot of productive space between “ban guns” and “do nothing.” Our elected officials continue to do our kids and our communities a grave disservice pretending those are the only options.
If we’re going to change the world, it’s going to take more than doing different things.
It’s going to take becoming different people.
It’s not enough to say that we want more compassionate and merciful policies.
We need to become more compassionate and merciful people.
When the theology we promote as Christians results in others believing that they have no value and death would be better than living with such shame, that’s when we know our theology has missed the whole point of the gospel:
Jesus conquered death.
He didn’t drive people to it.
