The Cisco Grove Encounter (1964)

In September 1964, bow hunter Donald Shrum became stranded overnight in the forests of Cisco Grove, California. He saw a light descending between the trees, which revealed not only a hovering craft but also strange humanoids and a robot-like figure.

For hours, Shrum was besieged in the branches of a pine tree. He fired arrows, threw objects, and even fainted several times while the beings tried to approach. When dawn broke, the entities retreated, and he was left shaken but alive.

Though bizarre, Shrum’s detailed report was considered sincere by investigators and remains one of the most harrowing close-encounter narratives of the 1960s.

The Falcon Lake Incident (1967)

On May 20, 1967, amateur prospector Stefan Michalak encountered a landed, metallic, disc-like craft near Falcon Lake, Manitoba, Canada. When he approached, a blast of hot gas from a grid-like vent on the craft’s surface knocked him back, burning his chest with a distinctive pattern.

Michalak suffered illness, nausea, and recurring rashes for months. Investigators from multiple agencies, including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Canadian Air Force, and the U.S. Air Force studied the site, where radioactive traces were allegedly found.

The Falcon Lake case is one of Canada’s most famous UFO encounters, still unexplained today.
