People once again acting shocked that ambulatory wheelchair users exist and aren't "faking" being disabled. There's a whole myriad of conditions that allow people to walk short distances, but not for extended periods of time. MS, POTS, inner ear conditions, ect ect ect.
I NEED PEOPLE TO LISTEN - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT
I am seriously considering taking legal action against Sony over the decision to end physical PlayStation game disc production in January 2028. I have the financial means and the intention to pursue this seriously. What I need now is help gathering documented evidence, timelines, factory information, corporate statements, archived marketing.
Allegation:
Sony’s own CFO Lin Tao subsequently stated that the company had put “a lot of thought and time” into the decision and had “cautiously considered this” before reaching its conclusion. Sony also explicitly said it chose to announce the decision around 1.5 years before the 2028 cutoff.
That raises a very simple question:
When did Sony actually make this decision?
Because the evidence surrounding Sony’s manufacturing operations raises even more questions.
Sony DADC’s facility in Thalgau, Austria - its remaining wholly owned optical disc manufacturing facility - has been preparing for a major transition toward Micro Optics. Sony says it has been developing these new products for several years and approximately €30 million has reportedly been invested in the new technology. Employees had already been moved away from disc production and trained for the new operation.
Reports indicate that the Thalgau facility currently produces around 600,000 discs per day, with roughly half connected to PlayStation, while production is expected to fall dramatically by 2028. The facility is being transitioned toward optical microlens production.
Sony had already made a sufficiently concrete decision to abandon physical PlayStation releases while continuing to sell PS5 Disc Edition consoles without informing consumers, there could be serious questions regarding consumer information, misleading marketing, contractual expectations and the timing of Sony’s disclosure.
The fact that Sony’s remaining disc facility was already being transformed toward another technology, with employees being retrained and significant investment already made, makes the timeline particularly important.
It’s about whether consumers were properly informed about a major strategic decision before they spent hundreds of euros buying hardware whose primary purpose for them was physical game ownership.
My lawyer has already contacted the Thalgau facility to ask when these retraining measures and transition plans were first considered and when the relevant decisions were made. The answers may help establish the timeline and clarify what Sony and its manufacturing operations knew, and when they knew it.

@_kurochan710 Oh no, I don't mean the price, I mean that I'll probably go bankrupt buying Ralsei keychains because Ralsei is my fav character lol
Jokes aside, I think it'd be great as long as there are no IP issues.
@LeahVtuber_ Talking to friends & family, listening to chill music, doing things that make me happy.
And of course the occasional total emotional breakdown, but that occurs regardless of whether or not you're drinking/smoking to get through the stress, which isn't healthy to do either.
@smashdirt I struggle so much with art, but I still refuse to use AI because then it's not even me anymore, it has none of my artistic intent or any of the little imperfections that make it uniquely mine.
Fuck Generative AI.
@ava_marie_v@thediabetic86 Captioning it as "Went from able to disabled for zero reason" is also just vile behavior. The person in the video is clearly disabled if they have to bring a wheelchair with them in the first place.
It's insane how uneducated some people are on disabilities and how they can be.
@thediabetic86 I'm pretty certain the guy who posted the video was doing it for engagement farming seeing as they've got a blue checkmark.
Still absolutely disgusting behavior, disabilities don't automatically mean that you're permanently confined to a wheelchair.
@f4micom Wow, actually being a proper parent is better than government-mandated ID verification designed to track you? Who could've seen that coming?
(seriously though, I'm terrified of what kids are going to grow up to be these days with parents not doing their jobs)
@spectator A social construct? Are we genuinely being fucking serious?
ADHD is an officially recognized mental disorder under multiple systems such as DSM-5 & ICD-11, this is beyond vile to say that it's not real.
@duskfallss I usually get around this by filtering by date, all of this slop blew up around 2021 - 2022, so I usually filter for up to 2020 if I need references of well-known stuff.
Sadly, that just doesn't work for anything afterwards :(
@PichiPichiPuddn It would unironically be easier and proper advertising to use a genuine picture of the food, rather than whining to AI going "generate me this food because I'm too lazy to take a picture of the PRODUCT THAT WE PRODUCE"
