Today marks the 3rd time in a week that I’ve been called a Boomer priest.
A couple points:
1. I’m a Gen Xer.
You can tell because I lack ambition. I want to do my job and be left alone. I also tend to wish you would do your job, too.
2. Millennials, I know you love griping about Boomers, but someone needs to tell you: you are just like them.
They were just as liberal as you are and like you, they also had a small number of conservatives who went super conservative.
Just like Millennials do now, the boomers left college clear that they knew everything and they set about to fix it all.
They too decided there were oppressive structures within society and set about to destroy them.
Since they lacked humility, it never occurred to them that they should replace what they destroyed with something better.
Millennials, you are the exact same as the Boomers were.
You will be the exact same as they are.
I now end my statement.
@ilovenostalgia MV3 - I didn't have cable and it was a local L.A. version of MTV. Watched it on a black and white TV in my brother's room. Had to stand up while watching. Worth every minute.
@FriarDavidOSsS Be well, Father. I had a bad case of bronchitis years ago and I was put on prednisone. Suddenly my aching knees felt like teenage knees again, and I was like, "no wonder athletes sneak this stuff!" Wow.
I just want to say thank you, sir. I am a Trump supporter, but I think DeSantis is wonderful. The rancor between the supporters of these men drives me crazy. I will crawl over broken glass to vote for the Republican nominee. (Unless it's Haley, and then I'll probably use a blower to clear the path, maybe.) We all need to come together to counter the existential threat facing our nation.
@EdsPurgatory Daddy used to get smokes from the machines all the time. Marlboro. He actually did a cigarette commercial back in the day for Eve cigarettes.
