@9320pod Funny how Anderson went from being one of the league’s best midfielders to “overrated” the moment City moved for him. Now we’ve supposedly “broken the market” too. The reactions have been incredible. Roll on Bouaddi for even more tears.
Weird how markets only get distorted when clubs who don’t play in a red shirt spend big. Those red shirts must be like an invisibility cloak that protects their actions from market forces.

They backed out of the Anderson deal because it was too much apparently (he didn’t want them) and wanted this guy and he’s also pied them off big time.
Don’t let anyone gaslight you into thinking players choose United in 2026.
Ilkay Gundogan on Enzo Maresca: “As a human being he's unbelievable, honestly. In this football world I have not met many other people like him to be honest.
I think he will be incredible and, similar to Pep, [Guardiola] he has the intelligence to do the right decisions and to do the right tactical things.
But then also the human side, to get everyone on board. I'm sure that probably 99% of the people inside the club will also be very happy.”

.@DiMarzio: “I smiled a little bitterly at the reconstructions Chelsea made [on Enzo Maresca in their statement]. They imposed a version of the story you will all have clearly understood did not happen.
“City had to pay a whopping €20M to release Maresca and make him manager. Chelsea insisted on a reconstruction of the story, making it seem Maresca caused damage to the club, only thinking about Manchester City, by resigning he created problems for the club, and all these various reconstructions tell a distorted truth.
“Chelsea is in a very particular situation where the manager can’t always act with complete autonomy and independence, and that’s what happened with Enzo Maresca, who at a certain point had to say enough because the situation was unbearable.
“Now the whole thing has been twisted to try to get out of it cleanly with the fans, but everyone in the know knows the truth isn’t what was told by the power of a press release and money…” [via @tuttonapoli/@Sport_Witness]
