The work is long and tedious but MD-TF1 personnel are grateful for the opportunity to help the Maui area and conduct operations for which they have been trained.
Information updates from the operations are limited, so we will post more info when it is available.
After a brief rest period from traveling, MD-TF1 has been on the ground and assisting in Maui for the past two days. The team is working closely with other US&R teams as well as the many other US&R single resources and federal assets in the area over 12-hour shifts.
Crews from MCFRS Fire Station 34 (Milestone) participated in the Inaugural "Read Aloud" Program at Snowden Farm Elementary School. Crews read books to the students that were selected by teachers who are nominated for the Black-Eyed Susan Award.
