Delighted to have Mr. Hartshorn join us for Tuesday Tales at the Pre-Prep Library this week. Pupils enjoyed captivating stories, from Abigail the Giraffe's counting adventures to the exotic tales of 'By the River of Borneo'. Thank you, Mr. Hartshorn, for igniting imaginations.
This week in Tuesday Tales, it was great to have Mrs. Gaal read a few of her favourite books, including one about Australian wildlife. Pupils enjoyed learning more about Australia and exploring a world map afterwards.
This week at Tuesday Tales, Mrs Rachel Eaton-Jones visited to read some of her personal favourites to our Pre-Prep pupils. Thank you to Mrs EJ for making the stories come to life, pupils were enthralled.
The Nursery children had an amazing trip to Iskandar Puteri Fire Station for their 'Wheels, Wings and Moving Things' topic. They learned about fire safety, asked clever questions, sat in a fire engine, and enjoyed a water play session with the fire hose.
This week Tuesday Tales were read by our Librarian, Mrs Hawkins. Pupils listened to "Guess How Much I Love You", "No!" and "The Troll". We look forward to when Mrs Eaton-Jones will be reading to the Pre-Prep next week.
It was great to see Lee Lya and Wendy from Year 8 reading some tales to the Pre-Prep pupils last week. Lee Lya and Wendy read The Smartest Giant in Town by Julia Donaldson and The Book of Mistakes by Corinna Lukyen. Thank you both for spending time in the Pre-Prep.
To celebrate Earth Day last week, the Nursery children made seed bombs. They first used their fine motor skills to tear recycled paper, created mush with the help of a blender and then carefully formed a ball with their seeds. They are excited to see if their seeds will grow.
Great teamwork and collaboration building a rocket ship at Forest School last week. It was hard work pushing those tree stumps but Early Years pupils showed grit and resilience. The rocket had a cockpit and was decorated beautifully too thanks to the great minds of Early Years.
Last week Mr Finn came to read to the Pre-Prep in the Tuesday Tales corner. Dr Seuss was a popular choice, followed by Quentin Blake's Mr Magnolia and Mrs Armitage and the Big Wave. Thank you Mr Finn for spending time with the Pre-Prep pupils.
It was a fantastic Tuesday Tales session this week with 'Purple Paw Prints' by Sarah Mounsey and 'Hairy Maclary' from Donaldson's Dairy. A thank you to Mr. Cassidy for visiting and reading to our Pre-Prep pupils.
This week in Nursery, pupils read 'Smeds and the Smoos'. Afterwards, they hunted for butterfly pea flowers for a science experiment which involved turning their blue water purple. Then, potion making which explored capacity and encouraged fine motor skills.

In the Tuesday Tales Corner yesterday, was Bryan Chan. He read a variety of books including Lazy Ozzie, Owl Babies and A Bit Lost. Thank you Bryan for coming down to read to our Year 2 and 3's.
Amidst the Book Week buzz, Tuesday Tales showcased the enchanting stories: "The Hospital Dog," "Six Dinner Sid" and "The Tin Forest". Mrs. Baker skillfully brought these tales to life with her captivating narration.
Ms Trezise led this week's Tuesday Tales, featuring "Camille and the Sunflowers," uncovering how Van Gogh chose the sunflowers for his painting, and "I Want a Boyfriend," a charming tale of a princess seeking love inspired by her maid.
Reception children found two rhinoceros beetles, a male and female. They marked the beetles with nail polish to see if they would return. Then the children found the perfect tree stump at Forest School and were mesmerised when the beetles started to dig into the dead wood.
