Turkish military officials visited the Jazeera area on the outskirts of Mogadishu, where Somalia’s outgoing government is said to have granted Turkey a site for a proposed army base, according to reports.
The base is reportedly intended to support Turkey’s satellite launch activities.
The facility has raised concerns in some foreign capitals, including the United States, over its potential strategic and security implications. #Somalia
Somalia’s multilateral security system has been limping toward its finale for several years, but the U.S. decision to pull the plug on UNSOS appears to be a defining act. Establishing a new model without the UN support office will be arduous. https://t.co/iUKPvJqby4
According to Cloudflare Data Explorer the amount of russian bot traffic has dropped to 49% after Ukraine struck a yandex data center. Could this disrupt the midterm elections in the US?
A dozen Chinese volunteers are fighting for Ukraine in one reconnaissance unit, repairing drones, training as FPV pilots, handling explosives.
Super interesting & unexpected. I thank them for their decision.

MARIUPOL STILL HAS NO JUSTICE 🇺🇦🇷🇺
The footage is archival. The horror is not.
Mariupol, Ukraine 🇺🇦, remains one of the defining tragedies of Russia’s 🇷🇺 full-scale invasion. The city was shattered, civilians were trapped, homes were buried under rubble, and mass graves became part of the landscape.
Claims that more than 100,000 people were killed remain extraordinarily serious and difficult to verify independently because of the scale of destruction and continued Russian control over the city. But the destruction of Mariupol itself is beyond dispute.
Years later, the central question remains the same: how can devastation on this scale happen in the 21st century without full accountability?
Mariupol cannot be reduced to old footage. The dead, the missing and the families who lost everything still demand justice.
