Today was our beloved @DrNikPhilmon’s last official work session with the @MariettaCitySch instructional coaches. I have learned so much from him throughout these past 5 years, whether it be from a PL or an interesting lunch convo. ❤️ Go be great! #SpecialDifferentBetter
@JMeadeMathCoach and I challenged the @MariettaGAhs Alg Ts with providing targeted & intentional small group review and reteaching to end the year 💪. We provided the on-ramp with resources based on ALDs and the Ts put it into high gear with little prep time!! @MCS_OAA
Another empowering session in our MCS Creating a Culture of Coaching series! Collaborating with principals, our coaches are poised to make an even greater impact. Together we’re building a culture of support and growth. @Twhitter_MCS @MCS_K12Science@DrNikPhilmon@MCS_OAA

Kicking off the new year with structured literacy! Marietta City Schools took another positive step to grow our teachers. Today, over 300 k-3 teachers received morphology professional learning. @MCS_OAA
2nd grade scholars researched and authored ABC books for a state of their choice. These @BookCreatorApp creations were mind blowing. Scholars also brought in food to represent their state. @ALBurrussEle
I enjoyed working with @ParkStEle 3-5 teachers this week on what rigor looks like in their mathematics instruction! We had great dialogue and collaboration! @Principal_ASoto @MCS_OAA

One of the best things about my job is being able to visit our @MariettaCitySch K-5 classrooms to see math in action! The @ParkStEle staff & students are committed to teaching & learning. Their school saying sums it up… Sawubona! = I see you Park Street! 📈 @Principal_ASoto
