There is a lady who worked at a certain dealership in Woodmead when I was in my early teens. I think 15. My dad was in the market for a car but he always took my advice seriously. He never wanted to get anything I didn't like. He would even let me choose sound systems to add on afterwards.

My dad was looking at a station wagon with another salesperson and I was wandering around. I saw this champagne coloured sedan that I liked. She gave me attention like I was the one buying. She was so pretty. We sat inside the car and I was there wearing every word she spoke like it was a warm blanket in the mountains of Lesotho. She might have said something about airbags but puberty was a curse and those are not the airbags that made me love that car. Ran to my dad and she got the sale that day.

Bumped into her now as an adult about 4 years ago. She now worked for WeBuyCars. Obviously she is much older now. Over 12 years had passed mara chipi ke chipi. I greeted her with excitement and she didn't remember me. Tried reminding her but I was just another sale all thosr years ago. She has had many.

She then showed me some options but I was older and wiser now. Wasn't about to make the same mistake I made my dad make 😭😭😭

And luckily I didn't have a son to make decisions for me. Sons are the worst.
