Today’s loss really shouldn’t wipe away the last two months. I get how reactive sports are. I’ve been doing this for a long time. But this was the most enjoyable stretch of basketball to cover in a while. Players and coaches really should be commended (still) for this turnaround.

That win locks up a top 4 finish for Saint Joseph’s. A win Saturday or a Dayton loss to VCU gets the Hawks the 3 seed. 20-10 record. 12-5 in the league with one to play. What a turnaround. Can’t say it enough.

I'd rather see teams like High Point 27-4, UNC-Wilmingotn 25-4, Liberty 24-5, Miami 29-0, Akron 24-5
Belmont 26-4, Stephen F. Austin26-4 get a few at-large bids than teams well under .500 in their conference like Auburn, USC (maybe even Cincy).

One last thing- this doesn’t have to be the norm at St. Joe’s. It’s a school with a proud history. It’s a school that has had a number of NBA players, as recently as this past draft! It has a good NIL situation. SJU SHOULD be competing toward the top of the A10.
