crypto: don’t trust, verify

crypto apps: “the RPC said this is the state, so I guess this is the state.”

compromise the endpoint and the chain can be perfectly correct while the app consumes fiction

this is the contradiction: ethereum made consensus trustless, then most apps still ask centralized providers what the chain says
