@MTashed I've fully swapped to 0 cal/0 sugar varieties of soda when I drink it, and more often then not just replace with sparkling water at home. Soda is one of the worst things we consume - zero health benefits, just sugar and caffeine.
Now if I can just drop snacking...
@TheNovaPlayss I'm probably not playing optimally, but everything I'm pulling out aside from green shields and backpacks is worm food ๐ it's been great to level the cradle so I can go back to jump those damn fences around Maintenance
@TheNovaPlayss I'm more agreeing with you than not on that. They SHOULD nuke that pool. Rare blues, purps as rare as gold gear, no gold. Mat farm more than gear up.
But I don't agree with the bar of entry being high. The bar for success is already super high for a casual going into Cryo.
@maevesfw I think they should just lower the overall tier of attainable gear in PvE modes unless they significantly up the difficulty. It's nice to have a spot to learn the mechanics and explore but no one should be walking out with gold gear from a PvE run.
@PaulTassi I think he's great but situational. The way I've been playing so far hasn't led to much use of his gear, and I don't see a lot of nade hucking this early in season. But the times I've used the tools I think he's awesome (suck it, grenadier UESC). Well balanced out the gate.
@sc0nesandc0ffee I think it's just a bit too much reward for no risk. I've been playing since the season started and really like it, but the fact you sacrifice nothing and still walk out with purple gear pretty easily is an economy problem. I'm basically power-leveling the Cradle right now.
@MikaRBW I think it's just heavily overtuned. It should give superior gear basically never, blue rarely. Give folks a place to get something better than sponsored kits for PvP maps, to explore and learn mechanics. But yeah walking out with what we're getting now is kinda nutty
@MarathonGG_ Overall I think it's a net win. Changes are all solid.
Sponsored Night Marsh is cool but it gives great loot for little risk. I'm playing solo and rarely see anyone else. Make it way harder or tone down the loot drops. But I love the PvE focus and hope they iterate on that.
@PaulTassi IMO there's literally no upside to running Rook in this mode, you're just as viable solo. This isn't PvP-lite it's PvP-ethereal.
But I'm enjoying it, even if I only see rooks a few times out of a dozen runs.
@Sorcere32916122@GernaderJake I don't think you realize what it takes to incubate a game. It's not just a single thoughtperson in a room...it's concept artists, story writers, devs for a vertical slice, and more as a project gains steam. Hiring more devs without positve cash flow as it is doesn't make sense.
@Sorcere32916122@GernaderJake You realize they had SEVERAL games incubating at the time Sony purchased them right? 2 were eventually cancelled, one broken off to make a new studio to work on it, and Bungie got to keep Destiny and Marathon. Laying this at the feet of a single game is just incorrect.
@Sorcere32916122@GernaderJake Anything "in the works" isn't finished and thus not fit for release. I'm betting D2 hasn't been profitable enough to cover the studio's burn rate since TFS. It's why they did layoffs. It's why resources were moved to other projects. And it's why Sony is betting on something new.
@Sorcere32916122@GernaderJake Anything fit for release is coming out...what reason is there to shove finished stuff in a dark hole? The decision was planned for months and held back from most devs. They're stopping work because Destiny is not profitable, not this tired line about it being Marathon's fault.
@Sorcere32916122@GernaderJake Yeah...that's why they're stopping further work and giving us basically everything else they had in the pipe on June 9th. They are likely doing what they can to keep stuff already done from going to waste, and cutting costs now by ending major work on the game.
@Sorcere32916122@GernaderJake If that were true, it would still be supported past June 9. Businesses don't stop supporting products that are making money, they stop supporting ones that aren't.
