The Futures Department (HE and Careers) works with pupils from Shell through to the Upper Sixth providing a comprehensive programme of careers education.

Our L6th 'Launch' lecture this week welcomed Lord Dominic Johnson, Dr Autumn Rowan-Hull, Joanna Jensen and Alex Baring; we are grateful for their expertise and insight into their respective areas and the pupils benefited hugely from learning about their inspirational careers.

A busy afternoon in Court yesterday for over 300 L6th pupils from College, St John's and King's, Bruton, at our Higher Education and Careers Fair. They met representatives from 28 universities in the UK, Erasmus, Utrecht, 13 gap year companies and a variety of career areas.

Last weekend, 11 pupils experienced seminars from Oxford and Cambridge academics and an individual ‘supervision’; inspired by new reading recommendations and the academic interview-style environment, they are well into preparations for their applications in October.
