Yesterday, #MDCR, alongside @MiamiDadeOOR, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil the newly installed solar panels at our Metro West Detention Center. The solar array will provide over a quarter of our facility’s electricity needs & help create a future with clean energy. ☀️

All of us here at the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department join our community in mourning the loss of Miami-Dade Police Detective Echaverry during this difficult time. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
