In Romans Chpt 3 Paul continues to make the point that we as people are not righteous by God’s standard. We might think we’re better than other people or that somehow our religion makes us closer to God than others. But the Bible says none of us are good enough to get to heaven on our own merit. Our actions and our attitudes don’t measure up. God gave us laws to live by and we can’t keep them. In fact that’s why He spelled things out so clearly in His word-to show us that we are guilty before God. The Lord wants us to know that we NEED help. We NEED a Savior. And in the next verses Paul is going to tell us who that is.
