Shapiro's budget overspent, was unbalanced & counted on non-existent revenue sources.
@GovernorShapiro & @PaHouseDems were willing to pass that overspending on to PA'ians in the form of a $2100 tax increase.
@PASenateGOP also found $4.5 billion in unused funds
All Show No Go
PA Senate Republicans negotiated and passed this budget. It is a complete contradiction to blame them and then clap for the budget that you, in fact, voted for. ๐
As Republicans in Harrisburg and Washington, D.C. turn their backs on struggling Pennsylvania families, Senate Democrats, @GovernorShapiro and @pahousedems remain laser focused on addressing the issues important to Pennsylvanians.

@nwgiannini They aren't unelected seats. People vote for & elect people to them. Or are the people in nearly 60 other counties also "not really" electing people in your view. You do have to work to win a seat, nothing is guaranteed. Only that one party won't control more than 5 seats.
@nwgiannini Yeah, I prefer requiring minority party representation. It's the right call, and when I lived in a county that required it, I saw a better managed and less polarized county government. The real question is, why are you so bothered by this proposal?
@nwgiannini All the other counties do have a minority party represented in county gov't, though. That can't be disputed, it's fact. There are different variations, certainly, but that's still true in the other 66 counties.
@nwgiannini Furthermore, all the County Democrats have stated over the years that they wanted minority party representation and felt it would be a good thing. So what's wrong with it now? Nothing, because it's commonsense for oversight & checks & balances.
First thereโs the dishonest impersonation of an elected official. Plus, an embarrassing follow-up post. What a swing & a miss!
Whoever is in charge of @PaSDCC X will be a good reminder this 4th of July that our countryโs basic rights include freedom of speech, even dumb speech.
