Back today with a Thursday Thought!
We are 28 days until our Middle School Festival and 29 days until our High School Festival! Are you getting excited?
Share with us what you are most looking forward to at Festival this year!
The school year is in full swing now! I’m sure your to-do lists have grown. How do your arts classes or clubs help you out? A place to be creative? Helping build your confidence? Share your thoughts!
Thespys are a great opportunity for students to showcase their best work and receive professional feedback!
Visit our website for details on categories, rules, video guidelines, and rubrics (under the student tab)! Have your troupe director register you today!
Do you appreciate a good classic? Do you miss the traditional chorus line dances? Do you like new age shows? Which do you enjoy more and which do you find more relatable?
Who is in show prep? Or working on a piece for class or for a Thespy?
How do you go about memorizing? Write it over and over, maybe in chunks of different color? Listen to it on repeat? Speak it over and over? What works for you and what do you think is the best method?
Would you be a carpenter? Scenic painter? Rigger? Work wardrobe? Spot op? Sound technician? Lighting designer? Props? Wigs? Hair and Makeup? Special Effects? Anything else? Share you technical passions!
How are you feeling?
Has it been the “Best Day Ever”?- SpongeBob?
Does it feel like “Everything’s Coming Up Roses”?- Gypsy
Are you feeling “Shy”?- Once Upon A Mattress

Was it a show you saw? A soundtrack you listened to? A story someone told you? A Macy’s Thanksgiving parade performance? A local high school troupe performance? Share your first recollections!
Our Maryland Chapter of the International Thespian Society has been recognized by EdTA as a Gold Honor Chapter for our “tremendous work and high level of excellence”! We are honored and can’t wait to continue providing excellent opportunities for students around the state!
You may not be ready for school to be starting again (or maybe you are!), but are you excited to get back to shows? How are you preparing for auditions or crew/designer positions? What is your favorite part about starting a show?
Congratulations to our very own Allen Price, who was presented with the Educational Theatre Association Hall of Fame Award this year! This award is presented to EdTA members who have dedicated 20 or more years promoting educational theatre. This award is well deserved!
One of the many One Acts students will get to see at Festival this year is "And Then There Was One, Too" by Michael Druce, presented by Tuscarora High School!! @TitanDanceDrama
