@Beau4Congress@ChicagoBears Reality is you obviously don’t know the whole story but weigh in. Bears were telling IL they’d pay for the stadium and wanted tax guarantee from a state that constantly taxes the hell out of everyone. They’d still be paying millions in taxes not to mention full taxes on their
@CFCBears Yet the bears were still trying to stay in Illinois with a worse deal. That’s why all these fans losing their minds about a billionaire owner being greedy. They are willing to fund the stadium, they want tax certainty at AH.
@MaggieLJohnson Be different if the bears weren’t consistent in trying to go to AH over Indiana where the deal was significantly less favorable to a “greedy owner.”
@SpeakerWelchIL Werent asking for tax payer money for the stadium but infrastructure to support the surrounding are which benefits the community as much as the bears. Theres 9 home games a year, infrastructure would support yearly, they were willing to take a lesser deal in IL but you dont care
@SpeakerWelchIL No you haven’t, using this is as a “we care about taxpayers” to cover up all the other budget stuff you passed doesn’t work. Nice propaganda tho. Not to mention bears were asking for tax payer money on the stadium, again rephrasing to benefit your image
@ChrisMWilliams lol greed driven? From what side? Bears have rented out the stadium /paid what their share on the renovations cost for soldier field. Now they want to own their own stadium the state doesn’t want to make them a priority until last min. They would take a worse deal to go to AH
@GNSportsTV The bears are paying for the stadium, so as always he’s a liar. Bears are willing to pay tens of millions of dollars a year in property taxes compared to none for 40 years in Hammond. The infrastructure that would be on tax payers would benefit the community as much as the bears
@davehelman_ Another reason why these positions are not consistently drafted in round one. If you’re picking up the 5th year option on an off ball LB but have to pay him like and edge.
@HogeAndJahns listening to monday’s pod, w/ discussion about team specific grades. Highly recommend people check out @NFLSEshow, @TampaBayTre@ConnorJRogers dive into that convo about grading drafts based on the team & how those players fit that team. Great draft coverage all yr
