#Florida's strictest #abortion ban, which prohibits abortions after 6 weeks, took effect on May 1st. This law was pushed by the Republican-dominated legislature and signed by Gov. #DeSantis. Florida Republicans are working to relentlessly strip their constituents of their rights.

This 6-week abortion ban is a stark violation of personal freedom and provides a false promise of choice. This November 5th, we have the power to make a difference.

First-trimester screening, done between 11 and 13 weeks, detects genetic abnormalities in fetuses. Forcing individuals to carry non-viable mor severely abnormal fetuses to term is reproachable as it causes unnecessary emotional and physical suffering for both parents and fetuses.

Yet another study concluded that 1 in 3 people learn they're pregnant past six weeks ². The 6 week time frame of this ban is nothing but a false promise of "choice."

Here's the catch: Early #pregnancy detection is tough. A new study has found that more than 1 in 5 people have periods so irregular they're unlikely to know they're pregnant until after six weeks.¹
