In Michigan, voter histories are being deleted or wiped from records just months after an election. Both state and federal voter history retention laws require preservation for 5 years.
If you vote in an election and it is certified, your voting record should be set in stone as a static historical snapshot for those 5 years—regardless if you move, die, or your personal details change. It is not supposed to be altered or erased.

This isn’t affecting just a few voters. It’s happening to thousands. For the 2020 election, before the 5-year retention period was up, Michigan SOS tampered with or wiped the histories of over 400,000 voters!
