@shreemallatheru@rishhhaabh__10 I have the answers for your analogy. 1. Mahindra BE 06, 2. Renault Duster, Nissan Tekton, VW twin SUVs, 3. Mahindra 9S Pack Two 70 & 79kwh
If they’re pouring hundreds of crores for you guys alone, why would data centres need the permits? People across the world are raising voices against data centres due to their heavy water-consuming infrastructure, but in India these companies won’t have any problem because BJP knows how to silence them saying “Hum dekh lenge, Aap fikar mat kijiye”.
@VahanWarta BE 06 is a niche product. If Mahindra wishes to have solid sales, they should get the NUIQ-based and BE 07 products faster. They’re the real deal because it’s not just design but multiple aspects such as space, features, ergonomics, seating comfort and others matter more.
Two things! The petrol-ethanol issue is in full swing, and not just Renault but every manufacturer of turbo and NA petrols faces customers switching to alternatives, mainly EVs, hybrids and CNG. Two! Any brand wanting better sales should focus on range-extender hybrids, diesel, EVs, hybrids or CNG. Without a wide portfolio offering clear benefits, sales will stay stale.
Kia should revisit their drawing board. Not sure why they’re messing up already striking designs, especially in India. The old-gen Seltos was badass but made subtle this time, while the Sonet settled into sharper looks. Syros and Clavis don’t seem on par. They should be sharp and striking rather than soft and bubbly. Sales will happen, but design desirability falls sharply as others sell in big numbers.
I think it’d be great if Mahindra focused on bringing the BE 07 on Aug 15th because it’s a volume seller. The BE 06, despite many updates, can only manage to a certain extent as it’s a niche product unlike the 9E or 9S, which cater to different customer bases. Also the NUIQ platform-based products if they can. These will max out Mahindra’s production volume and require more plants to handle the demand.
The problem is if India allows BYD to manufacture their cars here, a Creta-sized EV with a min of 50kWh battery would cost around 12-15 lakhs without any BaaS. This would hurt every EV in the 10-20L ex-showroom range, boosting BYD sales while causing a huge drop in other brands’ sales, leading to severe losses and depression among brands as BYD eats up their hold in India.
Open scams! A drop in mileage leads to more consumption, higher imports than earlier and faster wear and tear of vehicle products, which only benefits the government via road and other taxes while nothing really changes. Neither the infra, nor the safety on highways, nor a reduction in toll charges.
The key problem with EVs was resale from the start, and the introduction of buyback truly assures consumers to trust a product strongly since the brand is backing it. Reality is there are clauses behind it and we can’t just sell off the car after 3 years of usage. There are limits on distance that can be travelled, fast charging and multiple other things. I’d say it’s great that brands are backing it but please read the fine print. What I’ve expressed is from Vinfast products. About others, I think it should be checked.
@volklub Paaji! Post the Sierra EV launch, I've observed multiple reviews, and almost all were pretty satisfying compared to the rest of the Tata series. Very little negativity, and everyone loved how well the Sierra EV drives. What's your opinion? Have Tata Motors really progressed well with the Sierra EV, or is this just optimistic views towards the product?
The Indian government is trying to reduce the burden of 2,000 crores, but I question the legitimacy of its implementation. The BJP has been draining middle-class families in the name of growth while our infrastructure, healthcare, security and law enforcement have been massively impacted. Everything is leading to their arrogance from recent wins. They should understand that common people are able to raise voices & the impact as well.
People really act dumb when we raise points like these. During Jagan’s tenure, he kept mum when fuel prices were rising, and CBN quietly continues them while levying more on existing fuel prices along with an additional 10% CESS on road tax for newly billed vehicles, while road connectivity is still far away for people of AP, specifically the Rayalaseema belt. Not sure when these leaders will understand the importance of better road connectivity; faster lane checkouts will benefit the economy by reducing longer travel times.
@shree369369369@IndiaNewGen That’s something driving BJP’s monopoly across the country while Local parties either merge with BJP or stay mum on whatever happens around without any real solution.
This is the problem! Govt bodies keep pushing people out of every type of car they have for transport while saying Viksit Bharat, yet in the backend they keep sucking the last drop of our money. Unless they start improving the purchasing ability of middle and lower-middle-class families, the entire nation will suffer in the coming 10-15 years, and the BJP is ramping it up further with full-on greed.
@yabhishekhd@grok what sort of reduction in overall price can we expect out of this? Since EVs attract 5% GST, Is that the only benefit or do we have anything else?
