Shobhaa De writes that Siya's behavior is "justified" as the "last resort" of a trapped girl.
According to this mentally deranged budhiya, killing Ketan was a last resort because she doesnтАЩt consider Siya confronting her parents, saying no to Ketan's parents, seeking help from a women's helpline or the police, or eloping as viable and sane resorts, none of which Siya even attempted. To her, the only resort left was killing Ketan.
In the pre-social media era, many fools were considered "intellectuals," and Shobhaa De was one of them. Social media has exposed the hollowness, pretentiousness, and hypocrisy of many such figures. Now, this mentally deranged budhiya resorts to desperate hot takes just to stay relevant.
All I want to know from Minister @nitin_gadkari is:
1. When did India conduct a long term study on effects of ethanol on non-compliant and E20 compliant engines? What were the findings? Was it ever discussed on floor of the house or in TV debates?
2. When target was set at 2030, when old vehicles (at least 10 year old ones) would have been phased out, and compliant vehicles would come in, what was the need for early target achieving chest thumping? Are you blind to science? How the hell are you putting E20 everywhere without caring for pre-2023 vehicles which are still new in 2026?
3. Why were the vehicle owners never communicated about getting E20 when government whimsically forced, at least, 80% of petrol vehicles to be filled with incompatible fuel, damaging the engine?
4. Why were such vehicle owners not given a choice of not getting pure petrol, even when it would be slightly expensive?
Just answer these questions logically, and we will stop getting funded by Soros or Bangladesh or Deep State, or any bullshit that you have been believing to keep your senile ego satisfied.
We know that for @PMOIndia whole of India is some lab rat that can be experimented upon without any consultation and relying on 'ye BKL kar kya lenge hamara' logic.
Still, if you or @narendramodi has any kind of conscience, if you believe in ethical governance, just answer these questions.
Vehicle buyers pay huge upfront taxes, fees, and cesses. In return, they deserve the basic right to buy the exact fuel their vehicle engines were designed to run on.
If the govt wanted to "experiment" with E20 fuel, they should have done it responsibly by either buying a sample fleet of second-hand cars to test in a controlled settings or invite willing citizens to opt-in using subsidized fuel.
Forcing a mandatory policy onto everyone first and checking if it damages their engines later is outrageous. Treating the entire public as involuntary test subjects is a massive overreach.
In 1990, Sarla Bhat, 27, was working as a staff nurse at SrinagarтАЩs SKIMS hospital to support her family, even as fear forced her community to flee.
On April 15, 1990, Sarla was abducted from her hostel. For four agonizing days, JKLF terrorists subjected her to brutal torture and sexual assault. When her body was dumped in Mallabagh on April 19, her killers had carved the acronym "JKLF" directly into her flesh from a knife.
The horror continued for her family. When SarlaтАЩs bullet-ridden body returned to Anantnag, the neighborhood was already a ghost town emptied by the exodus. Marooned and helpless, the grieving family could not find enough people to carry her to a funeral pyre. As they attempted her final rites, a grenade was hurled at their home. This targeted terror forced the last remaining Hindu families to flee.
Systemic apathy followed. Though a police complaint was filed in 1990, the file was buried. It took until 2025 for a Special Investigation Agency to reopen the case, naming four terrorists. Two are dead, one is absconding, and one is imprisoned: Yasin Malik, who was once pampered as a Damaad by New Delhi, invited to the high table as one of the esteemed "stakeholders in the Kashmir peace talks." Yesterday, chargesheet was filed in this case.
SarlaтАЩs case is not isolated. Thousands of women faced similar brutality in Kashmir during the late 1980s and 1990s, leaving behind stories that have been completely erased from the records today.
She is Dr Vatsala Agarwal.
In August last year, she was appointed Director General Health Services of Delhi. She wasted no time and immediately started buying medicines and equipments at highly inflated rates by allegedly manipulating the tender processes, misusing hundreds of crores in public funds. By the time the Delhi police arrested her today, she had already allegedly created a health scam worth 600 crores.
Almost everyone in govt service, from top to bottom, seems to make massive money whenever an opportunity arises. Imagine the scale of systemic corruption if a single official can siphon off 600 crore rupees in less than a year. And it's not like she was honest for her 30 years of service till now, and suddenly turned corrupt; she only got caught now. Her life long scam would be much more than 600 crores.
It is truly surprising that India continues to grow despite such staggering leaks in the system.
