⭕️ Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon killed both a current and former village head (Mukhtar)

A missile strike killed Ali Badih Hussein, the Mukhtar, or locally elected village head, of Rihane, a village in Lebanon’s southern Jezzine district, after hitting his vehicle. In a separate attack, an Israeli drone killed the former Rihane Mukhtar Ismail Abdallah, an employee of the state electricity company, as he watered crops outside his home.

Additional Israeli airstrikes on Rihane, which is located in the mountains east of the coastal city of Sidon, forced the village’s remaining families to flee.
