The proposed new methodology “𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗹𝗴𝗮𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝘃𝟭” developed by Sustainability Science in partnership with Gross-Wen Technologies has passed public comment.

Reviewed through the Regen Registry Program, this methodology is built on the 𝗚𝗛𝗚 & 𝗖𝗼-𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝘃𝟭.𝟬 protocol developed by Virridy. It proposes a novel approach to crediting greenhouse gas reductions from algae-based wastewater treatment systems — offering co-benefits across watersheds and infrastructure sustainability.

Public comment is now open for the protocol “𝘈𝘵𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤 𝘕𝘪𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘖𝘹𝘪𝘥𝘦 (𝘕2𝘖) 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘜𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘔𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘥𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺”, developed by @Crop_Intellect and reviewed through the Regen Registry Program.

This methodology enables verifiable GHG mitigation in agriculture by applying photocatalysts to crop surfaces — breaking down atmospheric N₂O into inert nitrogen and oxygen under natural light.
