Stalinist political propaganda featuring Yezhov quashing the so-called โenemies of the peopleโ. Looks a lot like @KristiNoem doesn't it?
But the good news is that we ALL know what happened to poor little Yezhov. Noem will have the same fate.
TRUE STORY:
Back in 1984 I had two Vietnamese gardeners; brothers. Both served in the military in Vietnam during the war, one for the North the other for the South. Over time I got to know them personally.
One Saturday, in my yard, they shared photos of themselves from the war. I was fairly young about 30, and single. One day they showed me pictures of their daughter (niece).
She was beautiful, tall, slender with long black hair. Close to my age. They offered to bring herthe next day, Saturday, so I could meet her.
What? I figured they were kidding but the next day at noon my doorbell rang.
I answered to the three of them standing at the door. With a quick, almost rushed introduction, the two brothers then abruptly turned and went back to their car and drove off.
I watched them drive away and then my eyes remembered there was still someone standing there. As beautiful as her photo, I stuttered to say "hello, please come in" . Unconsciously glancing over her shoulder to see my gardeners turn and drive out of sight.
Turns out she spent her childhood years in Hue City, Vietnam during the war. During the battle for Hue City she explained much to me.
What I remember most is when she said that she often had to hide in trenches, basements and craters. "American soldiers jumping over me during the day and North Vietnamese soldiers by night" she said.
We dated for a brief period. But her life was in LA and she owned a nail salon down there.
But that's my little story about a beautiful girl and Hue City , and my two gardeners who once tried to kill each other. ๐๐
@CuberPowel "Ordinary Men"
Here is a documentary that directly addresses your thesis about how ordinary men, humans, can and will adapt to their environment. This is chilling even as I write it.
