Last week we were back at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library for the 2025 Zine Workshop with Memphis Public Libraries! 🖍📚
Teens explored storytelling through art and writing, each creating their own zine. To keep the creativity flowing, we donated guides and materials for each participant, so they can keep making, reading, and expressing themselves beyond the workshop. 🌟
What is a zine you may be asking? A small, self-published booklet or magazine, often created by individuals or small groups.

The Memphis Tigers gave it their all this season, and while the final score didn’t go our way, there’s so much to be proud of. Their heart, dedication, and resilience were on full display, and they made this city proud every step of the way.
Enjoy the snow, Memphis! I stepped outside with my family for a quick moment to take it all in and reflect on how proud I am of our crews. They’ve been working tirelessly to clear roads and keep our city moving safely.
Do your part, too—check on your neighbors and make sure everyone stays safe and warm. We’ve got this, Memphis!
From our library family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!
We are thankful for you every day! Our branches are closed today and Friday, but we can't wait to see you Saturday! 🧡💛🤎
