to everyone,
please learn to speak up, especially when it comes to politics. silence allows corruption, abuse, and dishonesty to continue. your voice, vote, and opinions matter more than you think.
a better country begins with citizens who refuse to stay silent.
sa ganitong kalalang krisis at garapalang pang-aabuso ng kapangyarihan, tingin ko oras nang lawakan ang political imagination natin lampas pa sa eleksyon na pinapatakbo lang ng pera at makinarya.
the "youth vote" didn't save us in 2016, nor did it save us in 2022.
To be fair, they all did their parts. :) Leni as Vice-President and opposition leader, reignited hope and the opposition's fighting spirit. Leila de Lima took the fall for the opposition, bravely holding Duterte accountable as CHR chair, DOJ Secretary, Senator, and now Congresswoman. Kiko Pangilinan and Risa Hontiveros along with former Senator Frank Drilon held the fort in the Senate making sure that there was still a working minority. Kiko, Risa, and Frank also ensured that their parties (LP and Akbayan) were organized enough to maintain a viable popular response to Duterte. The ICC case was not prepared by Trillanes alone. There's a whole coalition of people behind it. I also don't think that Trillanes will take credit of everything. He'd probably say that he was just doing his job and answering the call of duty.
“Shit happens.”
This is what former police chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa had to say when officers shot dead Kateleen Myca Ulpina at her home in Rodriguez, Rizal, in June 2019, in what they say was a legitimate police operation targeting her father.
Myca was three years old.
and he was right. people have now become so desensitized to all the killings that some disgusting freaks even praise the government for murdering its own people and make jokes about these deaths.
All this chaos.
Just to protect the Dutertes and their allies.
The country has sacrificed too much—our institutions, our democracy, and far too many lives—for the survival of people who believe they are above accountability.
or demand a better leadership now. why wait for 2028? hindi end-all and be-all ang eleksyon. wala nang pawis, luha, at dugo ng pilipino ang worth pang pagantayin
