Subject: URGENT: Halt SB174 Vote – Stop 🛑 the Judicial Power Grab Over Ohio Families!

Dear Representative [Name],
I am writing as a [parent / constituent] from [your area] to demand you halt the vote on SB174 scheduled for this week. Do not let the Ohio Judicial Conference bully you into forcing this through.
SB174 is a dangerous expansion of judicial power over fit and loving parents. It assumes that only courts have the wisdom to decide how children should be raised, even when both parents fully agree on a parenting plan. This is outrageous.
• It will drag divorcing (and even some agreeing) parents into more court battles, costing families far more time and money.
• It replaces parental authority with judge-dictated “parenting plans.”
• It benefits the family law industry at the expense of Ohio families.
Moms for Liberty and thousands of parents oppose this bill in its current form. The Judicial Conference is pressuring lawmakers to ram it through on Wednesday, despite it not being on the agenda thanks to strong grassroots pushback. This is a clear “us versus the judges” fight.

Please take immediate action:
1. Remove SB174 from any fast-track consideration.
2. Insist that sponsors work directly with families and opponents (including parental rights groups) on genuine reform.
3. Vote NO on SB174 as written. Do not surrender parental rights to the courts.

Our children deserve parents who can make decisions for them, not unelected judges with expanded authority and financial incentives to keep cases going.

Ohio families are watching. Act tonight to protect parental rights.

Today we got the opportunity to spend time with @TheAmyRobbins , the CEO of @AlexoAthletica and Sam Bushman, the CEO of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association. During this session, we learned about the importance of properly understanding and responsibly using concealed carry practices as well as explored new programs aimed at strengthening and supporting our communities.

Amy shared how her passion for running and personal safety led her to create a solution for women who want both protection and practicality. As someone who often felt vulnerable while running, she chose to carry for self-defense and recognized the need for clothing that made it secure and comfortable to do so. Her goal was to offer options that allow women to carry close to their bodies without sacrificing style. She also emphasized the importance of proper training. Explaining that a moment of danger is not the time to learn how to use a firearm. She encourages women to understand and exercise their rights, stressing that staying informed and prepared is essential to preserving them.

Sam highlighted on the role of law enforcement and the importance of community collaboration. Sheriffs have significant influence and the ability to grow through education and engagement. Rather than fear, law enforcement should be understood as those who create and keep peace. Even when the media may portray them as otherwise. Programs like 287(g), are voluntary and designed to foster cooperation across agencies, demonstrate the value of working together to strengthen communities and improve public safety.

We must take advantage of the opportunities that help us and our communities grow.
