Trudie enrolled in our Manufacturing Academy program at the height of the pandemic. As a single mother of four, it was hard to find a career change that fit her schedule.
10 weeks after starting her new journey, Trudie graduated and landed a job at Aero Plastics in Renton.
Since 2017, AJAC's Manufacturing Academy has trained nearly 100 incarcerated youth for advanced manufacturing.
Beginning in 2020, a new partnership with Franklin Pierce School District is further enhancing the program by teaching life skills and the importance of giving back.
She started her career as a secretary for the department of defense, now she's one of 19 Industrial Maintenance Technician apprentices at Washington Beef.
Rachel discusses why she switched careers and her new journey to becoming an AJAC apprentice!

We love @AJACTraining and the amazing opportunities they provide, like this advanced manufacturing tour for Seattle Juma youth! Youth tried using machinery to make dice, engraved keychains, and learned about high demand manufacturing careers in the region. #JumaExplores
