Imagine if Iran bombed Washington and killed students in schools, what would you call it? Terrorists
The U.S. and Israel bombed Tehran and killed students in schools. Why do you call it a "pre-emptive strike"?
Bombing a school is a war crime under international humanitarian law

Just highlighting some of the interesting things that were signed in the deal between Trump and Anwar:
1. Malaysia accepting U.S. Food and Drug Administration certificates and prior marketing authorizations for medical devices and pharmaceuticals. This usually goes through a long process, but will actually be good for Malaysian patients as new drugs get approved faster (this is my personal interpretation, I could be wrong)
2. market access for U.S. sorghum to Malaysia. Can be used as animal feed. If it's competitive, then good for food security.
3. adoption of regionalization approaches to facilitate U.S. exports of pork and poultry. US porky is already sold via can goods, but have yet to see poultry though. US spam is more expensive than China SPAM, so with this - price might come down. Hormel SPAM is yummy.
4. granting extended operating licenses so that businesses have the certainty to increase production capacity; and ensuring that no restrictions are imposed on the sale of rare earth magnets to U.S. companies. This one needs more info, what are the US companies already processing rare earths in Malaysia? Also, what if there is a trade war between Malaysia and US - we can't impose trade sanctions on rare earth exports after that?
5. Malaysia has committed to refrain from imposing digital services taxes or requiring U.S. social media platforms and online service providers to pay into Malaysia’s domestic fund. How will this affect the digital tax imposed on companies like Netflix and Spotify?
6. Malaysia removes broadcasting restrictions on U.S. programming. This is the most interesting for me. How will affect Malaysia's internal censorship controls though? There is a lot of things Malaysia does not agree about including LGBT rights.
7. Malaysia has made commitments that will benefit American innovators and creators by enhancing intellectual property protection and prioritizing enforcement against intellectual property theft. This includes joining and fully implementing key international intellectual property treaties and combatting notorious markets for counterfeiting and piracy. - Hehehe, like Malaysia has ever been successful in wiping out fake goods at Jalan Petaling. I bet the American media if they had time, they will be visiting Chinatown to buy some of the fake LV's too.
8. Malaysia has committed to protecting internationally recognized labor rights, including by prohibiting the importation of goods made by forced labor, amending its laws to strengthen labor rights protections, and strengthening the enforcement of its labor laws, including by addressing violations in sectors with a high risk of forced labor and child labor. - This is really hard, with the Rubber gloves and Palm oil plantation sector learning the hard way they have to ensure their labour practices meet US standards. Lots of Malaysian factories are not ready for this.
9. Malaysia has committed to address the distortionary behaviors of its state-owned enterprises when engaging in commercial activities and address distortions caused by domestic manufacturing subsidies. - This is just a commitment but really, institution like BERNAS is hard to do away with.
10. The United States will maintain a 19 percent reciprocal tariff rate for imports of Malaysia except for identified products from the list set out in Annex III to Executive Order 14346 of September 5, 2025, Potential Tariff Adjustments for Aligned Partners, which will receive a zero percent reciprocal tariff rate. - No change in the overall tariff rate of 19% since this has been locked in already.
