This year marks the 300th anniversary of the Peace and Friendship Treaties between the Mi’kmaq and the Crown. Thanks to the Mi’kmaq communities of Metepenagiag, Natoaganeg and Lennox Island for meaningful exchanges on treaties, languages and culture.
Canada will continue to stand with the United Arab Emirates in the face of the drone attacks on the Barakah Nuclear Energy Power Plant. The IAEA resolutions and international law both stipulate that targeting peaceful nuclear energy facilities is unacceptable. I have expressed my full support to my counterpart, @ABZayed, in the face of these attacks. Canada supports a full investigation into these attacks and calls on the international community to similarly condemn them.
Pride is a promise — that every Canadian can live safely, openly, and proudly as themselves.
