Year 11 Studio Art worked from a theme and sources of inspiration to create individual ideas as the basis for developing their artworks. They explored a wide range of materials and techniques as tools for communicating ideas, observations, and experiences through artworks.
The TechGirls Movement visited Melbourne Girls College on the 26th of August for an Academy for Enterprising Girls workshop. Students were taken through researching, ideating, building and pitching an idea. They then shared their ideas to the whole group. It was a great day!

Last week, all our French students celebrated La fรชte Nationale (Bastille Day) with some scrumptious multi-coloured macarons! Miam miam!
๐ผ Year 10 Collaborative charcoal reproductions
Each student reproduced a section of artwork using the medium of charcoal. Once finished they worked collaboratively with their classmates to recreate an artwork using their charcoal sections.
As the weather gets cooler, the Food Studies kitchen has been heating up with comfort foods.
Various soups, fresh bread rolls, vegetarian lasagne and chicken parcels are just a few of the delicious recipes prepared recently by our talented students.

The Year 9 Visual Arts class were set on a task to virtually visit famous art galleries from around the world, to find a prominent artwork that inspired them. After some research and analysis, the students were to create a Chatterbox providing information about the artwork.
