The 2024–25 Abundant Life Christian boys basketball team, represented by head coach and athletic director Mike Thies, was honored at today’s Annual Meeting with the 2026 WIAA & NFHS Section 4 Spirit of Sport Award.

The recognition highlights the team’s remarkable resilience, steadfast faith and commitment to playing for a greater purpose and their community following the tragic school shooting on December 16, 2024.

Congratulations to Megan Gustafson, a 2x WIAA Girls Basketball State Qualifier, on winning the 2025 WNBA Finals with the @LVAces! 🏆

A three-sport athlete in volleyball, basketball, and track & field at South Shore High School, Megan remains the all-time leading scorer in Wisconsin girls basketball history with 3,229 career points and still holds the Division 5 state record for most shots blocked in a state game. 🏀
