The King's Award for Voluntary Service aims to recognise outstanding local volunteering groups across UK.
Created in 2002 to celebrate the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II Coronation, it is the highest award given to local volunteer groups and is the equivalent to an MBE.
We are pleased to announce that Veronica Pickering has been appointed as the next Lord-Lieutenant for Nottinghamshire. Veronica succeeds Sir John Peace who will step down from the role in March 2024
